QUBOŽ ROLLS OUT NEW SCHEDULE AND EXPANDS WEB OFFERNGS
(New York, NY– November 29, 2007) – qubo®, the TV and online entertainment service for children, announced today that it will broaden its programming line-up next month and will unveil robust new content on qubo.com as it continues to deliver on its mission of promoting literacy, positive values and the possibilities of a child’s imagination.
Beginning Monday, December 3, the qubo Channel debuts a brand new schedule including a charming new animated series MISS B.G. (short for Big Girl) that follows a precocious eight-year-old girl who sees it as her mission to teach her younger brother George the ways of the world. Based on the acclaimed French book series, Gudule & les Bébés by Fanny Joly, MISS BG takes a
heartfelt and comical approach in sharing lessons about the importance of family, learning and fun. Also beginning December 3, viewers will now be able to see some of their favorite series including BABAR and JACOB TWO-TWO every day of the week while POSTMAN PAT® joins the qubo Channel’s weekday line-up. Extending the learning experience beyond the television screen, qubo.com is also ramping up with several new interactive applications. Beginning Friday, November 30, qubo.com will debut an innovative new website storytelling tool, ZIMMER TWINS, where children can create animated mini-movies and have the opportunity to have their short films showcased on the qubo Channel and the qubo weekend blocks on NBC, ION and Telemundo. The qubo Channel will also expand its online presence as qubo.com launches new content for each series on the digital channel. qubo.com will feature individual show pages with video clips, games and activities, all designed to engage children in a safe environment that fosters learning.
